The gutting of the VRA sucks but what sucks more is that SCOTUS has gotten away with years of targeted destruction of the 14th and 15th amendments because the justices know that Congress won’t fix it.

Whenever a news story about something Trump is doing declares that it's "a first for a sitting president" or "a change from tradition," replace it with "yet another authoritarian move from the president," and see if it sounds more accurate.

I'm expecting a wheelbarrow-full of pardons for insider trading on January 19, 2029. Note that the prospect of those pardons helps to keep subordinates in line. Corrupt-cop style, make sure that lots of people get a little taste, then make clear that the pardon depends on continued loyalty.

If Trump believes he has the power to pay TSA now, it means he believes he's had this power from the start of the shutdown. It's an admission he could have tried this from day 1, but chose not to because he hoped making travelers suffer would pressure Dems to cave and fund Border Patrol and ICE.
The Radical Left Democrats, and their “Leader,” Cryin’ Chuck Schumer, have made it very clear where they stand, and that is, ON THE SIDE OF CRIMINAL ILLEGAL ALIENS, AND NOT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. They are refusing to fund Immigration Enforcement unless the Republicans agree to their Open Border Policies, which will never, ever happen again. They almost destroyed our Country, allowing 25 Million People to enter from Prisons, Mental Institutions, and Insane Asylums, those that are Drug Dealers, and thousands of Murderers, many of whom killed more than one person. Because the Democrats have recklessly created a true National Crisis, I am using my authorities under the Law to protect our Great Country, as I always will do! Therefore, I am going to sign an Order instructing the Secretary of Homeland Security, Markwayne Mullin, to immediately pay our TSA Agents in order to address this Emergency Situation, and to quickly stop the Democrat Chaos at the Airports. It is not an easy thing to do, but I am going to do it! I want to thank our hardworking TSA Agents and also, ICE, for the incredible help they have given us at the Airports. I will not allow the Radical Left Democrats to hold our Country hostage any longer. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Iran hardliners ramp up calls for a nuclear bomb, sources say
(Reuters) - The debate among Iranian hardliners over whether Tehran should seek a nuclear bomb in defiance of an escalating U.S.-Israeli attack is getting louder, more public and more insistent, sources in the country say.
With the Revolutionary Guards now dominant following the killing of veteran
Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali
Khamenei at the start of the war on February 28, hardline views on Iran's nuclear approach are in the ascendant, two senior Iranian sources said.

Whether or not this factual account is accurate, it seems POTUS is trying to put the toothpaste back in the tube to some extent and forestall further attacks against energy infrastructure. (Obviously makes him look weak if Israel did this without his knowledge. And foolish if he approved of it.)
Israel, out of anger for what has taken place in the Middle East, has violently lashed out at a major facility known as South Pars Gas Field in Iran. A relatively small section of the whole has been hit. The United States knew nothing about this particular attack, and the country of Qatar was in no way, shape, or form, involved with it, nor did it have any idea that it was going to happen. Unfortunately, Iran did not know this, or any of the pertinent facts pertaining to the South Pars attack, and unjustifiably and unfairly attacked a portion of Qatar’s LNG Gas facility. NO MORE ATTACKS WILL BE MADE BY ISRAEL pertaining to this extremely important and valuable South Pars Field unless Iran unwisely decides to attack a very innocent, in this case, Qatar - In which instance the United States of America, with or without the help or consent of Israel, will massively blow up the entirety of the South Pars Gas Field at an amount of strength and power that Iran has never seen or witnessed before. I do not want to authorize this level of violence and destruction because of the long term implications that it will have on the future of Iran, but if Qatar’s LNG is again attacked, I will not hesitate to do so. Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP
