Perhaps this is a step that is needed to explore a new avenue of sculpting that has previously been looked down on by mature artists. The combination of additive and subtractive aspects of the cheese slapping method could bring flexibility to a part of the art world that's stagnating.

While the subtractive chiseling mirrors the classic sculptors technique I do feel that an additive medium like American single layering opens a whole world of new ways to approach it that are rarely seen outside of paper mache, which is often restricted to children's art.

The company really has one me over. I have a couple of wired pro 2 and sn30+ Bluetooth ones and a couple of ultimates and I swear every single one of them has been nothing but good to me. Plus the aesthetic is chef's kiss. And damn is it easy to change batteries or joysticks!

I have such hardcore nostalgia for that synth wave / retro wave/cassette futurism era of design. So much of the late '80s and early '90s tech carried this just feel of chunky and trying to be tech and advanced and using ideas from that eras vision of what the future was going to look like.

This and the healthcare industry and the ridiculous price of basic staple foods are the reason why I am a "filthy liberal socialist". Having worked in it in and around some of the accounting price used by a major power company I learned long ago what kind of bullshit was going on.

I've been slowly collecting what I can, but the prices on anything over 4 gigs is just miserable. I got lucky that I had an RX 6550, an RTX 3060, and 4060 fall into my lap with part trading, but my 3080 is my main card and that bastard will stay in my desktop for at least 5 more years.

I would also mention that if you're not doing any workstation stuff and just gaming that you can get away with a rx5000 series if you do steam OS or another Linux build. I've been testing various cards from the old rx580 up through more modern stuff on a steam desktop that I built, good results!

Oh I've been doing this for years. I actually go out and I used to buy those gigantic pallets of random DVDs once in awhile and I would rip all of them into my server and then sell the ones I didn't want to keep for like a buck a pop at yard sales. There are multiple terabytes of them at this point.
