i really wish Remedy would pull back some of their AAA-isms when it comes to dialogue. they have a panache for style when it comes to narrative presentation which i do really appreciate but the dialogue occasionally drifts into within orbit of "so that just happened"

Well dang, it would appear my stuff was stolen from my vehicle while I have been 1500 miles away and unable to afford repairs. That laptop included a number of prototypes I had never backed up anywhere, including tons of VFX prototypes from when I worked on Manifold Golden.

formica laminate is made with formic acid which comes from ants. that's why some retro counters and tabletops have that distinctive speckled pattern, it's a coincidence that it resembles speckled granite or quartz. but nope, that's just lower-grade product using unbleached less finely ground up ants
