I must have been about six and fell asleep in the living room while everyone watched tv. Woke up to see the protagonist opening his dead brother’s coffin after being called by him.

Lately I’ve been wondering about all of their rationales. Is there some ratio of acceptable fatalities to time saved that is their goal? Kind of like the analysis Ford did when they knowingly sold the Pinto that could explode on rear impact.

Master of puppets, I'm pulling your strings... One of Grimalditeuthis bonplandi's tentacle clubs is like a little squid hand puppet. They will flap it around, and would-be predators will think they are getting a tasty squid snack, when they really are going to be a snack for a squid. #SQUIDtember
A Grimalditeuthis bonplandi swimming in ocean without its tentacle extended. The squid is translucent with orange tinge, and is covered in yellow chromatophores. It has two sets of fins which are both flapping. The upper fins have more chromatophores. A beautiful initiative in Aarhus, Denmark shared by @CiaraNi@mastodon.green over on Mastodon. They say: "The Pssst Postbox. You post a note about something hopeful for the world. Once a week, a local theatre group collects the post and records the messages. #Hope
Short version: a wooden postbox outdoors. Fuller description: A light-brown wooden postbox on a pavement area. Behind it, a city building with glass arch, a tree, a bench, bikes parked in bike stands. Sky overcast. Above the postbox, a sign saying Pssst. On the postbox above the flap, an illustration of an ear with soundwaves showing it listening to something. On the flap, the words Lift and Listen. Written below, a description of the project as roughly translated and summed up by me in the toot, and credits for the various groups involved. This is in Aarhus, Denmark. The postbox was in concert hall park recently, I think it moves around.

Right - those sometimes take as many as 8-10 wheels depending on age and ability to ride. (You might get a couple kids in a cargo bike). The reality is not uniform transit modes but right size and application. And bikes are suitable in many of them. More folks using bikes reduce traffic for all.

Yes that snow can be a little slippery but on the same day streets were clear and mostly dry. This was prettier. I do run studded winter tires from roughly December to March just in case. And if it's a big storm, I WFH or take transit - maybe done 3-4x per year.
