This weekend is the 20th anniversary of Nuit Blanche in Toronto. I remember heading to U of T that night because Japanese artist Fujiko Nakaya's work was enveloping Philosopher's Walk in fog. It was amazing. For a time capsule, here's my Flickr album from 20 years ago. I'd just gotten my 1st dSLR.

Trained a coworker on how to use a tool at work today, which involves creating a text file and then feeding it to a script. Basic stuff, but you have to edit the file first, so I open a shell and use the text editor vi like I've been doing for 30 years, I said. "that was before I was born" 💀

For my first #TOPhoto submission I'd like to share a picture I took within the first moments of walking into Biidaasige Park last month. Looking down at the river, I saw a Great Blue Heron fishing. Toronto is truly a City Within A Park.

Strangely the movie I most remember watching here was 1981's Cannonball Run, which ran for months and I'd catch showings with friends after hanging out at the mall over weekends and maybe sneaking into multiple movies in the tiny theatres.
