pixel art in the Minecraft world that I am in, in survival only. Boo and Paper Mario.

Minecraft pixel art using wool and terra cotta in a badlands location of Paper Mario versions of Boo and Mario.

I feel really isolated sometimes because for two and a half months I have been locked up inside my home and I just feel really out of sorts tbh. I have been trying out pixel art in Minecraft with a server with friends, but they have their own lives and sort of don't seem to notice things I point out

#conalngers #conlang what's your favorite place to start when making a language? Does it depend on what the language is for? I am currently making a language for a group of alien "elves" who moved to a world and were called elves for their appearance, and who had to create a language to unite.

I saw someone saying "a lot of people will be murdered in taking down the fascists, you kinda gotta take that risk" and like while that's not true, it's really disgusting that people are just going to lay down other peoples lives so blaisely. It's gotta be bloody, right? That's what they want.

Absolutely no AI used in this, except that stupid AI I can't turn off from Google searches, but I follow the links instead. Anyone know how to turn it off?

I mean I feel like especially in this current political American climate, I am toeing a line being a writer and searching things, but I am legitimately writing a murder mystery abriged version and doing my best here. Besides, all the gay, trans, bi, queer in general sex in this story will get me too

www.nytimes.com/interactive/... This is legitimately one of the articles that has made me cry, I was reading up on the history of the rape kit and it's an abysmal shame that this woman isn't remembered more for her invention. And a shame why it had to be made, who fought it. She was wronged.

I got really sick with a migraine today but to remind myself of how far I have come in this story, I want to just show what the compiled page amount is in Libreoffice. I don't write in it, I write in Scrivener, but I compile it all together in one document in libreoffice and I love this.

I've stopped hiding from what is happening in this country, so burned out after years of caring too much and getting too scared and angry to know what to do. I've been watching about ten to twenty minutes of current events a day, not doom-scrolling it. I want to make a gameplan to create community

Godlocked Studios @godlockedstudios.bsky.social · 08/02/2025

Adding in chapter after chapter to this massive fanfic. It's likely to be (By the End) the longest Batman fanfic that I can find online, in maybe a few months. I don't think I can even split it into different books and stories within, it doesn't feel like it would make any sense that way.

010

Godlocked Studios @godlockedstudios.bsky.social · 07/02/2025

Might pick up knitting just for something to do in between chapters in this story, so I don't spend all my time doom-scrolling. Also, I want something physical to hold at the end of this story that reminds me of how far I have come and how well I am doing. Ideally, a Batman patterned something.

Absolutely stoked to have written over 563K of my story and know there will be months more to it, but this is a fanfic helping guide me into how to weave multiple narratives in, in how to use scrivener most effectively so I can do it best with my original stuff, and how to use multiple POV well.

I absolutely wrote I think a compelling reason for why there is a MOUNTAIN a SINGLE PEAK THAT IS TALL AND ROCKY WITHOUT WOODS ON IT and SHARP in OHIO near Central City in the Justice League Unlimited episode Flash and Substance, and it's...a secret to my story! But it's chapter 100!

Learning about the Man going to St. Ives I think that it's ambiguous enough that there is no answer, even beyond the "one" or whatever math adds everything up answer of the multiple versions. We have no idea if all of those wives are actually PRESENT, with the sacks, cats, kits, all inside. Weird!

I want to get back into writing lyrics again, I think that my stories would be really well-incorporated into impactful lyrics and I think my past of writing lyrics has really wound itself into my narratives. It's so frustrating when folks get up and shout with their full chests: writer's barely disguised fetish! Uh oh! Crime time! Fetish alert! Because it always seems like: 1. The author in fact is not disguising anything. or 2. This isn't a fetish or it is not written like a fetish. Fools. All fools.

I remember when we were analyzing A Streetcar Named Desire, my teacher deadass told me that the scene that is famously a fade-to-black rape scene, was not in fact that, and I was projecting. It was merely a representation of like, how frustrated he was while drunk and with his wife in the hospital.

Why is it easiest for me to learn things when researching for stories? It's like, I can't just sit down on the internet and decide I want to learn about butterflies, I need to have a sudden and fleeting idea about a very specific metaphor and then I research for half an hour, come back with gold.
