Astrophotographer Adam (AJ) Smadi caught this image a few hours ago from Washington state. A thin crescent Moon, sunlight illuminating the rugged lunar surface. And 2,400 times farther away—and on the other side of the Sun—mighty Jupiter, and its moons Io (left) and Ganymede (right).

bipedal mech with a sort of cylindrical torso design and two arms, one with a handheld PPC and the other with a wrist-mounted laser rack. the mech is mostly white, with golden details around the joints and purple accents around the shoulders and calves. the shoulders also have a white "IX" and a slitherine dragon painted on them.

In a heatwave with no access to air conditioning? Wrap a wet rag or bandana around each of your wrists. it will convect the heat away from your body helping keep your core temperature cool. You can also put them around your neck, forehead, and under your hat. Just keep them wet. #heatwave #ihateit
