#scalemodels #histscalemodels Progress on the 1/35 M3 halftrack from Andy's/Takom. Very happy with overall fit and detail. Just started weathering, including distressing the seat cushions as if they'd been sat in. Only complaint is the thick decals. Had to flood them repeatedly with MicroSol.

#WIPWednesday & end of the month, and it's the first month this year where I have no finished mini for #paintslam. 😢 It was a busy month, I was a bit ill too, and then I've been helping family in their vineyard in my free time. Didn't help at all that I've been hopping between a few projects. 😅

Several WIP minis for 40k: A custom Lt Kage and Col. Schaeffer, a firstborn Space Marine, a modified Commissar Graves on foot, and the High Council on their modified Centaur.

Descriptions of the minis:
Schaeffer is the classic metal mini, wearing a grey uniform with green armor and black boots. Kage is wearing a light brown officer's uniform with reddish brown boots. He wields a bolt pistol and a large knife.
The Space Marine is painted in dark grey, armed with a black plasma pistol with yellow coils and a power axe.
The Commissar has a white uniform with golden trims, a black greatcoat with red trims and a brown fur collar, and a silver armor. Her power fist is red, her bolt pistol is golden with silver parts.
Standing in the back is the Triumvirate High Council's modified Centaur. It is painted in brown grey. The council members are wearing black uniforms and silver armor with golden ornaments.

Four WIP Imperial Guard vehicles for Warhammer 40k: Two Hippogriffs each configured with two melta guns, a Hydra, and a Leman Russ Vanquisher with a tank commander.
They are painted in grey with lighter grey camo stripes in some sort of zigzag pattern, and bluish grey triangles. Next step: Edge highlights, the Vanquisher and the guns of the Hydra already have them.

Basically unchanged from the last time I've shown it: The Casket of Souls.
The skeletons have been painted with a bone white contrast color that has been further drybrushed. Gold and turquoise parts of the model have been base painted.
The casket is of a light brown color to resemble sandstone. It stands on an oval MDF base with light brown texture paste.
