Played my second game of Classic #Battletech using the new rules, and I'm finding that with the new Core Rulebook I'm using a wider variety of gear, which is fun. Played a Jade Hawk vs a Warhammer IIC on one of the gorgeous new maps. The Jade Hawk got destroyed pretty quickly. Great stuff!

Finally received my own copy of the #Battletech Core Rulebook. Tried them out with the Starter Set mechs & map, & instantly experienced the great stories the classic game creates. Alpha Strike just didn't have the same effect for me; glad to be playing Classic again.

Managed to snag a first printing of The Spy Who Loved Me film adaptation novel by Christopher Wood in good condition for fairly cheap. Pretty much considered the best James Bond film novel, I'm looking forward to reading it again. I haven't read it since the late 70's. #JamesBond

Tired of waiting months for the new Core Rules to be released to actual fans, I finally just borrowed a book from someone who went to a convention. The Core Rulebook is pretty great upon first skim. However, I wish that lore was limited to its own section & not interspersed with rules. #Battletech

Got to test a scenario for KSAGG (local Battletech convention in December) and the new Core Rules. We have a day-long reenactment of the Reunification Wars coming and I'm Periphery because colonizers suck. Had a blast running a lance with three AC20s snorting Canopian "battle powder." #HalvarMechs

CRT screenies of an unreleased Battletech game for Mega/Sega-CD that I just had a tinker around with: Gray Death Legion. Due to be released in 1995 and developed by Absolute Entertainment, this would have been a first-person arcade sim similar to the Super Nintendo BT/Mechwarrior game.

Another #Battletech Solaris VII game yesterday. 9K Jihad, and it was brutal. 8 players. Someone brought a taser, another brought Tandem SRM Rounds. I headcapped two 'Mechs! The final round went off with a boom - as someone also brought a booby trap. It was crazy and so much fun.

I somehow missed that @mikerunderwood.bsky.social had released an entire book of Environments for Daggerheart! Instant buy for me and highly recommended for all Daggerheart GM's. Environments are one of the things that really make #Daggerheart shine, and more of them is always a good thing.

Played a friend in his first game of #Battletech recently. He ran the security box and I put together a comparable list from my Periphery force. He got first blood destroying my commando and raining hell on the rest of my forces with his Scorpion-1O. I did win but it was a close game! #tabletop

It was our final #Battletech Diamand Shark campaign. Our job, capture an HPG. The Falcons ALSO wanted the HPG. The Inner Sphere hoped the Falcons and Sharks would murder each other, instead we split the IS forces and whoever destroyed more would claim the HPG. We destroyed more, and took the HPG
