I want to add, older people are/have been carrying a lot of the protests right now. As I've said previously, I live near a weekly one and they've been out there every Saturday for months; I messaged my friends about seeing them back in February.

I've been having an amazing gdc so far. The real time fx summit went very well, thanks for all of our amazing speakers who did an amazing job! A highlight was also the real time fx mixer on Monday, which featured a giant pan of paella. What an amazing GDC experience :)

What mary says is accurate. VFX might not fully on board until it makes sense time wise to have a full team, maybe the 2nd or 3rd or later year of production. That's where vfx outsourcing, freelancers, and contractors come in to bring the team up to the size it needs to be to finish.

I'm not sure which of you need to hear this, but: If you push yourself to your limits and burn out for a company, you are trading years of your future productivity for minor gains in the present. Burning out will _fuck you up_, it's like brain fog or depression, and it takes years to recover
