Anyone using the term "social media addiction" has fallen for a manufactured narrative that is contrary to every actual finding of reputable scientists working without an agenda. It not only does not exist, framing it in that way *actively* harms people's mental health and ability to self-regulate.

I often remind artists that alt text can help extend your reach by encouraging reposts from folks who don't repost images without alt text, but the same goes for writers too! If you're posting your book cover or writing snippet, adding alt text is both kind and wise!
