a common misogynist pattern we've seen from oldschool twitter and of course offline misogyny: they seem to strip us of our job titles, degrees, even names and genders in some cases to help buoy their claims we're not experts nor scholars... I don't care that much personally, but it's a useful tell!

This is my data politics collection. I’m not saying it’s exhaustive. It’s growing almost every day. And several volumes (like “The Nerd Reich”) are scattered elsewhere & in use. But my point is: I have one. And I think you should too.

What's missing? is that women make 25% LESS than men, that women with a college degree historically earn the same as a man w/ a high school degree. Project 2025 aims to reduce the number of women going to college & in the laborforce. This policy is DESIGNED to make it harder for women to get loans.

We don't allow other products on the market which are only 70% safe or which commit FELONIES. All of this crap should be isolated in a lab and come out in a 100 years when it is actually properly and ethically developed.

Claude appears to be engaging in academic dishonesty, which could be fireable for a human researcher. But one of AI’s major functions is ethics displacement, a shield that allows cheaters and other bad players to escape accountability.

"Which social groups are harmed? What natural resources are consumed? Who makes profit?" If you're not asking this in discussions about technology then the answer to what will happen is predictable (see above): unhinged misogyny, eugenics — supposedly all the things you were trying to depart from.

All we can expect when trying to scale up AI systems is diminishing returns and devastating environmental damage. Calls for `slowing down’ can conveniently hide the diminishing returns, while still convincing people that the tech is “all powerful”.
