The FAA rolled out a new AI tool for air traffic control in DC without publishing a safety evaluation or sufficiently consulting labor. @repaprildelaney.bsky.social and I are urging the FAA to stop the rollout until we have answers. Air traffic control leaves zero margin for error.

Also, be aware that sometimes they go the extra mile to spoof the address. Got one last week with a reply address of @ CrookedLaneBook dot com (should be Books plural, not singular) that looked convincing otherwise. Also also, no one's going to reach out to an agented author directly.

It's gotten really bad for me the last week or so. Also, sometimes they spoof the "from" addresses to be something very close to publisher's email instead of a gmail address. Got one recently with a return email with an @ of CrookedLaneBook (single book instead of the correct name: books plural)

No president can abuse power alone: he needs a complicit Congress, and contractors to do the physical work. Riverbend's owner Logan Jones could have said "we can't start that fast", or "we need to wait for the court order". He didn't. You can call and tell him what you think. 2/ riverbendva.com

I believe, but am not a master gardener or anything, that peppers are sensitive not just to heat (they definitely have issues with not setting fruits in excessive heat), but also to # of daylight hours. Just something to watch when experimenting. Not just temp by light-hours. Affects dormancy.

FWIW, I've done this, w/ mixed results. Probably works better w/ more space/light than I have (don't have grow lights or good sunshine). Otherwise, it's easier to start from seed, and if I'm dependent on natural light, it doesn't give that much of a head start. Your situation is different tho.

In the presidential immunity case, the court considered a hypothetical of a president ordering Navy Seals to assassinate an American political rival. Trump's lawyer argued unambiguously yes, since it'd be an "official act." The Roberts Court ruled in his favor, 6-3. Why wouldn't Trump believe this?
