A good manager is hard to come by. Many people who are managers are there because of circumstances not skill. I’m too old to be fucking with bad managers. So am looking for work again. Once you see it, you can’t unsee it.

Government performance rating hits new low in survey #NZPol Russell Palmer, Political Reporter russell.palmer@rnz.co.nz Greens are now seen as as capable of dealing with the same amount of issues as Nats, Nats rated at 3.9 out of 10, the lowest of any party since the IPSOS Survey began in 2017 lol
Public ratings of government performance have reached another new low in the latest IPSOS Issues Monitor survey.

The government rating of 3.9 out of 10 is the lowest since the survey began in September 2017, and reflects about 45 percent of respondents giving between 0 and 3.

Another 31 percent gave a rating of 4-6, while 23 percent gave 7-10, and 2 percent said they didn't know.

The government previously dipped to 4.2 in the February survey, hovering around the same level in May and August. The Labour Party is rated as more capable of managing seven of the top eight concerns for New Zealanders.
Labour leads National on the issues of inflation/cost of living, healthcare, the economy, housing, unemployment, and poverty/inequality.
The National Party is considered more capable of handling only one issue: crime/law & order.
This poll marks the first time since 2021 that Labour has been considered more able to handle the cost of living and the economy. The "Wrong track" sentiment consistently polled higher than the "Right Direction" sentiment across all months shown.
The "Wrong track" opinion peaked at 62% in October 2023, just before a noted "Change in government".
The "Right Direction" opinion reached its lowest point at 38% in October 2023.
After the government change, the "Wrong track" percentage decreased from its peak, while the "Right Direction" percentage increased.Labour is seen as most capable of managing 9 out of 13 listed issues, including education, race relations, drug/alcohol abuse, taxation, household debt, population, transport, and petrol prices.
The Green Party is viewed as most capable of managing climate change and environmental pollution/water concerns.
National is considered most capable of handling defence/foreign affairs/terrorism.
Te Pati Māori is seen as most capable of managing issues facing Māori.

One final bit of good news - 234600 people across the motu voted to remove Māori wards, 245800 to keep them - 51.1% of all votes were to keep them, 48.9% not to. The majority of the country that voted were in favour so suck it coalition!

The one that’s really annoying me lately is Resene. The company owner is REFUSING to get on board and the workers at the paint factory are really struggling to get by and he makes the “it’s not fair to good workers if I pay them all the same” bs even though it’s supposed to be a base rate.
