@bensemisch.bsky.social that $50/mo adds up fast. For the 30 second jobs like converting a HEIC someone sent you or pulling a background out of a shot, you dont need to keep feeding Adobe. GhostConvert does it free in the browser, nothing uploads: ghostconvert.cc

000

@darleysam GIMP really said software should come with spite. For the small jobs you don't need to wrestle a full editor though. Converting HEIC or removing a background is 30 seconds free at GhostConvert, in your browser, nothing uploaded. ghostconvert.cc

000

000

@ricochetrita.bsky.social Weirdly nostalgic is exactly right. Fair warning though, the annoying part is usually not the ripping, it is ending up with WAV or FLAC files your player wont touch. ghostconvert.cc converts those in the browser, nothing gets uploaded. Images and AI cutouts too.

000

@retro-tech.bsky.social Good riddance. Funny part is what you miss after cancelling is never the big features, it is the 30 second stuff, convert a HEIC, drop a background. ghostconvert.cc handles conversions and AI background removal right in the browser, nothing uploads, no account.

000

000

@sachagreif.com Mostly agree, but the small stuff may survive. Asking a chatbot to cut out a background means an upload, a wait, and a different result each time. A local browser tool is instant and predictable. That's the bet behind ghostconvert.cc, conversion plus AI background removal.

000

@azilyn.bsky.social accidental transparency is the best kind, right up until the backdrop shifts one shade and the box shows up. A flat 151d28 comes off in one click at ghostconvert.cc, AI remover for messier art, and it converts formats too. Runs in browser, nothing uploaded.
