While I’ve made my feelings about this more than clear, I’m quite upset seeing some centre left people use this an excuse to somehow suggest now Labour is some kind of moral bulwark against bigotry by comparison.

One way or another, we need to work damned hard on promoting the many great policies that have been overshadowed. Food resilience is going to be critical as El Nino kicks in over the next year and we need to share the skills, passion and ideas, where others are burying their heads in the sand

Overall, very conflicted feelings about conference. On one hand, so many incredible conversations about food resilience and radical change in our food system with people from all parts of the party. A clear opportunity for us to set the agenda in an area completely neglected by other parties.

Having been involved in trying to find a solution to all this, I echo Rosi's thoughts exactly. It was obvious to me months back that this was going to be the result but the party collectively buried its head in the sand. What is leadership for, if not to help navigate situations like this?

Watching the car crash evolving in slow motion has been depressing - and more so because the structures and processes in the party that allowed this to happen were so obviously problematic and open to abuse, yet nobody saw addressing this as a priority until it was already far too late. (2)

I said some time ago that if I were someone intent on eliminating the Green Party of England and Wales as an electoral threat, the Zionism is Racism motion would be exactly how I'd go about it. (1)

If the vote lands as expected, I think the Green Party has made a historic mistake. What I am more worried about is what happens next - we have seen how factionalism has destroyed parties before.

David Miller @Tracking Power 2d Zionists forced the book Blood Passover, about the Blood libel, to be withdrawn. But Toaff republished it with a new preface which pulled none of its punches.

Either the UK government is: 1. Scared to confront the far-right; or 2. In agreement with the far-right. I don’t think it’s 2. I think they are absolutely terrified to do what they know is right because they believe we’re all racists. It is utterly shameful.

Companies pay employer national insurance (ENI) on director pay. Partners in limited liability partnerships (LLPs) share profit, instead of salary. LLPs don't pay ENI on that. £150k ENI for every £1m of profit shared is avoided. Big four law firms alone avoided paying £4bn. Must end this perk.

The logic of this from the Chief Rabbi seems to be: there is nothing that the Natanyahu Govt could do that would merit sanctions, as it would "feed into" a "hostile discourse" about Israel. And it dangerously conflates all Jews with the actions of Likud. Dire on so many levels.
