@markmoxon.bsky.social was going through your excellent Revs docs... I think the open question you have here (revs.bbcelite.com/source/main/...) is an implementation of the alpha max plus beta min algorithm (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpha_m...). Probably. Possibly. 😂

SabreMan / Wulf artwork for the BBC Micro version of Knight Lore. Found on Paul Proctor's original development disks. I believe some of the Spectrum animation frames were removed to save memory as the BBC Micro only has 32K RAM vs the Spectrum's 48K RAM.

Managed to assemble and run the RAXOFT tests in my emulator last night and discovered that the main reason why the series generator wasn’t working was the SRA instruction. I wasn’t preserving the carry bit. (ANDing it back into bit 7 rather than ORing it). Job’s a good-un.
Screenshot of the emulator with a circle and 2 to the power of 5 being correctly calculated.

Here`s 1 for the C64 developers then. C64 hardware sprites needed 63 bytes of data for their image: 21 rows of 3, and they were aligned on 64-byte boundaries. Did anyone use that last byte? I was thinking that a default colour, multi-colour mode bit and double-scale bits would fit, but I never did!
