Finally completed Ropoko on the MZ-700. Took way more than the time shown there, and I still have to do the final part of my walkthrough so I'll have to repeat a ton of stuff. I'm very happy that I solved most of it on my own, was a difficult game! Mapping & the though process around that helped.

"Wanted: Monty Mole" (WIP) on Acorn Electron. Took longer than expected because movement code is quite convoluted. Not perfect yet. Slowed down to target 25fps. Funny quirks in original game (and in mine): 1. No eye when walking right, 2. Walks slower on some tiles because constantly "falling"

This proves vertical colour palette splitting in MODE1 (!) is working on the Acorn Electron from SWRAM, but this is in my *emulator* and of course I need to confirm on real hardware. Also, I need to stabilise it a bit more... very happy with the proof of concept so far 😎 This has never been done!

I have been writing z80 assembly and am about to add some C to my build. Easy enough with z88dk. But it’s got me wondering is there something like z88dk for 6502? cc65 looks like a good fit from a quick search. I would like to build/install on MacOS/Linux. Anyone have experience / thoughts?
