"...the occasional moaning and sighing is the worst part, but if the ominous error dialogs and expressions of terror at being shut down don't put you off, you'd do worse than this very well priced bundle. In some markets, Apple are paying customers to take Brundlemacs" - MacWorld, September 1997.

A photo of a beige macintosh that looks like a conglomeration of multiple models. There are floppy and optical drives everywhere with no consideration given to reason. Apple logos, badges, buttons and ports haphazardly placed, and a screen that looks in an unwieldy position. It looks heavy, and cumbersome.

My Weller needs new tips again, so I bought a FNIRSI DWS-200 soldering iron. Let's test it while working on a battery-damaged 286 motherboard and an Apple IIgs (also a IIc that needs to be checked out, but likely no solder). Saturday's noon EDT. thehttps://youtube.com/live/qrfJ8BD0N-g?feature=share

A Blue & White Apple Power Macintosh G3 in the classic Bondi Blue color, opened up with its guts out. Two PicoIDEs are plugged into it, one into the HDD interface, and the other one meant for the optical/ZIP drives.

In VERY late-breaking news I have been informed that due to a catastrophic and unexpected budget shortfall, the VCF MidWest Planning Committee was only able to rent four tables and a small ball pit. Load-in starts tomorrow. Good luck.

Initially I was frustrated with the rise of self-checkout but I appreciated how stores passed the savings on to me rather than pocket the money, fire armies of workers & make me do a job I suck at. It’s also why I’m optimistic about AI! I have been kicked in the head by several horses.

Coming to VCF Midwest? If you're like me, it's hard trying to remember where everything is, especially with VCF taking up the ENTIRE expo hall this year. So I made this tool last night: geerlingguy.github.io/vcfmw21-map/ Now it's a lot easier to find exhibitors! #vcfmw
