A folder of information leaflets in connection with the light rail scheme for Leeds, West Yorkshire, proposed in 1988 and that line one of which would have run from the city cenre east towards Seacroft, Cross Gates and Colton. As is only too well known the scheme collapsed, a victim of, amongst other things, central Government funding being denied. Leeds and West Yorkshire is now, hopefully, 40 years on finally about to start work on the latest iteration of a rail based mass transit scheme that would end the conurbation's dubious honour of being Europe's largest without a mass transit system.
