Huge respect to the papers for finding both an 88 year old worried about the tax bill on her 6 bedroom Kensington house and a 20 year old fretting about only being able to save £12k a year tax free. Top work all around. These are not easy case studies to find.

The Greater London Authority have published a new London Building Stock Model, showing estimated energy efficiency (and many housing characteristics) for every home and residential building in the city. All data is downloadable and there's a cool interactive map data.london.gov.uk/dataset/lond...

Ok guys here's the point. Diff in Diff is a model based assumption that identifies the ATT (unless you're using random timing of rollouts, but almost noone is). It is model-based because you make assumptions to identify the OUTCOME MODEL in the *absence* of the treatment. 1/

I like this paper very much! These findings may also partly explain something I observe with admin data from England: women are as likely as men to move away to work but on average their mobility premium is much smaller
