If you're already in the ecosystem and don't need a lot of power, the MacBook Neo is unironically a pretty good shout. Of course if you want to play games, it's still a no go without a lot of faff.

If you have the energy to set everything back up (and are sure you have all your stuff backed up) a full reset might be a good starting point to see if the "sometimes doesn't boot" issue goes away. Or I could turn you into a full time linux user like I did to @squishluna.bsky.social ;p

Armoury Crate doesn't have the best reputation, it may be causing the hang up on boot if there was a bad update. But you did say the system's been doing this for years. When did you last reset windows, if ever?

Hmm, that sounds more like software than hardware. Once you've got stuff all backed up, and you have the time (and the spoons), door's open for some diagnostics.

It's an interaction that probably should have ended after the second or third post, probably an interaction that shouldn't have started in the first place. She felt that it was an important enough post to boost even with a word in it she found incredibly distasteful because it still resonated.

The interaction happened the way it did because your generation are the first one that now actually feel fully comfortable starting to reclaim things like that, and ours isn't. (Of course, I can't speak for all of my generation in all areas, but it's a reasonable generalisation).

We've heard it said in earnest enough to last us a lifetime. I've been called these things growing up in the 90s with Autism, I've heard family members disparaging the LGBT, I grew up in a world where "gay" was a direct insult, a negative thing to call someone or something you didn't like.
