This twisted and magnificent holly tree is what you get if you give them many decades to grow in an ancient woodland. Slow growing but worth the wait.

Holly tree, with a two-foot wide trunk and gnarled elephant-hide bark. Halfway up the frame, the trunk splits into three secondary trunks. in the background are lush green leaves. Offa's Dyke Path above the Wye Valley near Tidenham.

I planted some Calibrachoas in the window-boxes in the courtyard this afternoon. The purple, black and yellow variety is a 'Midnight Kiss', and the pink, white and yellow one is 'Pink Bling'. #bloomscrolling
