Labour lost more votes to the Greens than Reform in the locals and their decisions on trans rights have been a major part of that. Aside from No 10 claiming to be unaware of the FCDO overrulling vetting at the time, the idea that they still didn't know till this week (which is what they're claiming) suggests that not once since the Peter Mandleson resignation have they asked to look at his vetting.
