There are many ways in which every billionaire is a policy failure, but the most corrosive and destructive way in which billionaires are policy failures is this: billionaires, despite being unelected and unaccountable, possess the power to control - and ruin - millions of peoples' lives.
The Warner Brother tower posed against a vintage map of Burbank, keeling over, tearing up a huge clot of sod and concrete. Standing atop of the tower, forcing it down, is a sad, spavined donkey in Democratic Party livery. Being crushed under the tower is the California flag bear, with blood pouring out of its eye and mouth.

My Rage Against the Machine/Les Mis mashup is complete. This is my interpretation of the quilt guild’s summer challenge “quilt with your interpretation and/or feelings towards our current ‘democracy’” all hand stitched.
Quilt hanging on a card catalog. Neutral background with navy cursive appliqué “Do you hear thr people sing?” The background is embroidered in red starting light and getting bolder the lyrics to “killing in the name” the quilting effect is a focused sunburst from the center.

In July, we released Courtney 50.0. It may not be the fastest writing machine, but it has been honed fifty years of intensive language training. Based on the benchmarks demonstrated by this chart, Courtney 50.0 crushes the competition so significantly that we should have used a log axis.
An incredibly long graphic, using the graphic in the post text at the very bottom (a chart showing Open AI vs Grok vs Fable release date on the X axis, and model number on the Y axis). There is a long piece of whitespace, and then Courtney 49.0 and Courtney 50.0 are graphed at the very top.

We can critique without denying the humanity of the writer or worker. And if one can’t, the critique isn’t about art as much as a support for a secure upper class’ cultural authority The slippery social pyramid (Edith Wharton) is a cliched problem. It’s not a map for how to live with each other now

Outside and inside the books, there is a message that feels like a bad flavor in the sauce. I disagree with that flavor. I would say instead: support what you love, and respect the choices of people making their own, separate, self-chosen, lives

The first book of JCO that I picked up was A Bloodsmore Romance. I was young and couldn’t get around the horror of the opening. (Gothic hot air balloon kidnapping.) While I respect her craft, I don’t like her humor (?) surrounding force It felt edgy about who gets to make choices

As for custom vs machine made clothes: 1) for the buyers that’s more a available income issue, not a taste issue; 2) for the makers, those are still humans operating the machines. In summary, we should not say that some people are less human or tasteful just because they are different.

A crowded broadsheet with way too many fonts. It says:
Forget ChatGPT Flyers
Say it with
Broadsheets
Unlimited fonts
Stretch them
Or cram a really long sentence into one line for no good reason
No whitespace
Mix capital and lowercase
Pointing hands
(They're called manicules!)
Don't be left behind
Broadsheets are the future

I don’t like the ubiquitous way we use the word “cooked” — it describes a real dipped-in-the-zeitgeist thing, yes. But now we imply winning a horse race at the expense of the cooked. It feels slightly dehumanizing. I’m saying that saying cooked too much cooks ones empathy. Six seven math, you know

It’s interesting to think about effort being sometimes a count noun or a non count noun. I think it hinges on how much energy we want to give to our observations? Or hope we have of being able to see effectively? Yoda/Holmes’ “do or do not—there is no try”: there is a limit on looking at effort?
