Blyth's reed warbler 🙂 Not the most common sight here. I heard and then saw one today at the same spot I observed one last year on June 12. They're great at mimicking other birds, super fun to listen to! This little guy pulled off a buzzard imitation that was good enough to convince Merlin 😄 #birds

Spent a wonderful morning with this showy male Blyth's Reed Warbler in cooler temperatures (!) by the river Tweed in the Scottish Borders. Sang almost non-stop for an hour and a half, affording superb views. A charismatic bird in a wonderful location #ukbirding
