I will post obscure and out-of-print hard to find (in France) movies each sunday, from many countries and universe. Let's start with Poliziotteschi. Roma Violenta, 1975 by Marino Girolami. DVD remux. English subtitles tracks, and original Italian audio tracks. transfer.it/t/tOiAyooDlDSb

There's this thing in asia, Tibet, called བྱ་གཏོར་ "Sky Burial". It's somewhat impressive that a thing considered utterly macabre here, is, after careful considerations, the most wise act regarding our relationship with nature. Note: it's the act of letting our own corpse being devoured by nature.

Essential watch for any true horror fan. I watch horror since my early childhood, those films raised me, and what I always like was the work, gaze of women, the feminity, the subtlety. Then I discovered Ann Radcliffe, Eliza Parsons, Christina Rossetti, realizing that feminity is backbone of horror.

Oh they will definitely be. The aesthetic of this film is attractive. As for his other films after Litan, there’s eighty more, I’ll definitely recommend « A mort l’arbitre », « La grande lessive », « Solo », «  L’albatros ».

Thank you for that, it’s not on every podcasts that Mocky’s Litan is mentioned, even in France he‘s considered inappropriate these days for some reasons. Litan is amazing, as are A mort l’arbitre, solo and many more that are hard to grasp outside France like la grande lessive or le furet.

It's great that you mentioned that, I live in Russian for part of the year and the spring begins on the first of march. I guess it all revolves with the Chinese lunar year with lunar eclipse and planetary parade. Inspiring and evocative subjects. My two cents.

We have so much movies and art pieces at hands, nowadays, that the choice is the only problem, and a huge one, because sometimes, often, we want that the art fits exactly our precise needs, which an error, we should dive into anything to broaden our minds. Art must remain a beautiful surprise.
