Biodiversity week cycle tomorrow(Saturday) starts at 11am in O’Brien Park. Fun, free, educational event suitable for all ages. A guided cycle along safe routes at a relaxed pace. There will be several stops where an expert will tell us about the nature around us.

Longish thread about cycling a cargo bike around Limerick and the bike itself. After trialing a cargo bike Pat and @limerickecargobike.bsky.social - we decided to buy this bike from Decathlon. We have over 1000km done since October. We go every morning - regardless of the weather.

Horrendous. RIP This is the second cyclist death in 2 days. Plus several hit & runs. Whats going on our roads? I went for a cycle today & seen all sorts of crazy behavior: speeding, close passes, phone use. It’s all just standard now, not challenged, anything goes, no road policing, no enforcement

This is an extremely bad decision. The combination of e-bikes and public transport makes all of the capital accessible to many more people, reducing the need for car ownership. Banning them is the wrong reaction to a very small number of issues.
