One year ago, the world lost one of its strongest advocates. Dr. Jane Goodall spent years advocating for animal welfare, for community-led conservation, and for youth environmental leadership. She knew that each one of us had an important role to play, and she made sure that we knew that, too.

Paddocks of Canola in full flower across southern Eyre Peninsula currently. The winter grown, rain fed, low or no till crop of hybrid cultivar Brassica napus and Brassica junicea will turn from yellow through to green then brown/black as the flowers finish and seed pods form up ready for harvest.
Fields of bright yellow flowers between ribbons of Eucalyptus trees in the riverbeds scale out over the landscape to a large blue cove ocean and a tree covered peninsula in the distance. Sheds and houses dispersed across the countryside, and a gentle sandy beach fills the inner cove. Later in the afternoon, the sun is fading, and the thin cloud cover these is is turning a blue-grey overhead.
