Very interesting discussions are happening at @forrt.bsky.social's AI in meta-science conference. For example: You can now produce a paper every hour. Will the literature be entirely unusable without another layer of AI or will there be a bifurcation for low- vs high-effort papers? Can PRC work?

The number of people doing science opportunistically is great. In 2010, these people p-hacked. In 2026, they do crap preregistrations. Just like we figured out ways to prevent p-hacking, we are finding ways to prevent opportunistic preregistration. The solution is always the same: transparancy.

Further to this: the news about OSF is the perfect time to recommend @re3data.bsky.social, the Registry of Research Data Repositories - you can search for potential repositories for your data, and filter the results by a vast number of repo features (e.g., does the repo offer versioning or not)
