The motherfucking Pentagon is going to livestream an execution by firing squad. Livestream. I have zero trouble believing this is Hegseth's version of clout chasing. Fuck, maybe they can get Mr. Beast to tack on a contest. I'm coming around to @gregdoucette.bsky.social 's view of guillotines.

I have yet to get an ai-generated email full of faux flattery about any of my creative projects, and I can't decide if I'm just that good staying under the rAIdar or if I should be offended.

So I just want to say, since I haven't seen anything about it on my feed, that the HBO Lanterns show is FANTASTIC. Hal Jordan and John Stewart are perfectly cast, they work together fabulously, and I wasn't really sure about the "True Detective but Green Lantern" concept but the story is fantastic.

When I was a much younger man a doctor told me his advice for anyone wanting to a live a long healthy life: "stay away from ladders, always hire someone else to do your electrical work." Very sensible and profound. Anyway, today I'll be balancing on a stepladder as I try to replace a ceiling fan.

So I'm watching a YouTube clip of a British gameshow where this old guy has written a number down on a piece of paper and this lady can ask 20 questions to figure out what the number is. So by question 3 or 4 she's managed to get the old guy to admit the number is his birthday.

Important late-night VFX question: At 9.55 in this episode, the TARDIS appears while the camera is zooming out. I think they must be zooming out on playback of the dissolve effect, which is why it's a bit soft. Does anyone know how they did it? www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p00vhqq3

Either everyone's human rights are safe or no one's are. The problem with fascism is not that we're not the ones doing it, the problem with it is that it harms people and that is immoral, unethical, the foundational sin of this blood soaked nation.

You do not take healthcare from people because you don't like how they voted. Healthcare is a human right. You do not take food from people because of how they voted. Food is a human right. You do not take human rights from people, ever, for anything.

Hi as a queer trans man who has never left rural areas and spent a third of his life as a political and community organizer in the rural south you do not take food from the mouths of children because of the sins of the parents unless you're a fucking fascist.

Same screenshot, different browser.
Look I'm just gonna go ahead and copy and paste the alt text from the picture because IT'S THE SAME PICTURE so... ahem...

This is a screenshot from Starfield, a game 99% of the internet hates, apparently, but I very much do not. An astronaut is silhouetted against a pretty orange sky with a large ringed planet hanging in the sky just over the horizon.

OR IT'S JUST A RECTANGLE FULL OF VERTICAL LINES, I WON'T KNOW UNTIL I ACTUALLY POST IT

So far I've learned that I can successfully post images from my phone but not from my desktop computer. Current hypothesis: I'm running a browser privacy plugin that is screwing everything up somehow during the transfer.

Next test: a screenshot of my phone home screen. God help me I am reduced to this.

OK, continuing this stupid, stupid test: I have re-uploaded the screenshot of my desktop, only in a different file format.
Once again a screenshot of my desktop. I really don't feel either of us will be served by another description of this, and yet I feel a gnawing sense of obligation to do so: tiny button bar on top, large button bar on bottom, window in upper left corner showing all the files I've downloaded to the desktop area. Blue, green, and yellow abstract wallpaper. Lots and lots of icons, because I like icons.

This, sadly, is the most I've used BkueSky in months: in my third attempt to post an image to my feed, I post a picture I took of one of my dogs.
A black French Bulldog/Pitbull mix is curled up over a comforter as she rests peacefully, ignoring the camera intruding on her personal space.

Self-Publishing Supervillain @eviscerati.org · 18/03/2026
This is also a test: I post a screenshot of my desktop in a continuing exploration of Can I Post Images To My Feed.
A screenshot of my desktop! So boring. There's a strip of tiny buttons on the top, and a strip of larger buttons on the bottom, and a little rectangle in the upper left corner of the desktop full of icons representing things I saved to my desktop. The desktop wallpaper is an abstract blue, green, and yellow pattern.

Or, if this DOESN'T work, it's just a rectangle full of blue vertical lines.

This is a test: can I actually post an image on my account, or have I completely forgotten how technology works?
An old screenshot of a player-modified Oberland Station, a settlement in Fallout 4. Train tracks run through the walled settlement, and a number of multi-level buildings built from grimy, dust-caked glass and corrugated steel are packed inside the walls.
