My uni's political activity policy. Typical cactus country. Employees must not allow their interest in a particular party, candidate, or political issue affect their objectivity when performing duties. But, academic freedom, yay? Drove to Pride event last night, downtown LA cordoned off, overkill of helicopters, sirens, police. Event deejay played songs invoking theme, if it’s the last day on earth (our country), dance in queer joy before the revolution begins. Have generally avoided X for ages now but FB and IG have also been shadow banning or outright eliminating accounts of LGBTQ+ folks, sex educators, erotica writers, and any content about bodily autonomy, reproductive justice, trans rights, so is this just an exercise in futility? Time will tell.
