No Indy 500 clash *and* no Le Mans clash. Wondering if Honda could get Alonso in an Andretti or Ganassi to complete the triple crown. Or maybe McLaren or Ford could run Norris or Verstappen in their new Hypercars.

Gave the Xbox disc-to-digital system a go and it just worked, but then it made me realise I only have 3 Xbox One games on disc. I think Game Pass killed off buying "full price" games for that machine (and when I did buy them I got them on the PS4 digital or disc instead)

I think the world is finally ready for a new Auto Modellista, a game which, according to MobyGames, I was ready for a sequel when I reviewed it all the way back in 2003.
Screenshot from MobyGames showing an excerpt from my allaboutgames.co.uk review of Auto Modellista, which I gave 7 out of 10 in 2003, and said "Roll on Auto Modellista 2". Which hasn't happened... yet.

With the children at the grandparents' for the day we've taken the opportunity to go to Kew as just a couple for the first time in a decade. Which also meant we could climb all the stairs for the view at the top of the Pagoda

That was a mad end to the Formula E championship, and a tricky one to explain to my children as it was happening! Super pleased to Barnard pick up his first win after cheering him on through poles and podiums at McLaren last year.

Now trying to calm down after that government alert. In an increasingly unstable world you immediately assume it's something terrible, and while the fire risk is not insignificant, I didn't need that kind of panic to be told not to start up a disposable BBQ or set off fireworks.

I'm sad & angry about what's happening to Arkane, but treating id Software like this makes me really mad. So much history and talent being thrown away, and aside from the games, id Tech itself is worth nuturing. You not only don't get modern DOOM without it, you don't get Wolfenstein or Indy either

Thinking about Satoru Iwata today, for some reason.
If we reduce the number of employees for better short-term financial results, employee morale will decrease, nd I sincerely doubt employees who fear that they may be laid off will be ble to develop software titles that could impress people around the world.

Condemning riots isn't enough. We need policy action, including an immediate appraisal of X as a vehicle for coordinating far-right disorder. And we need political leadership, to challenge white nationalism as an idea, not to validate it daily and then complain when it turns violent.
