Couldn't resist picking up @jonnelledge.bsky.social's new book given I was listening to him speak on a podcast at the moment that I spotted it in Waterstones. Signed copy (and £4 off...) helped too!

I think the world is finally ready for a new Auto Modellista, a game which, according to MobyGames, I was ready for a sequel when I reviewed it all the way back in 2003.
Screenshot from MobyGames showing an excerpt from my allaboutgames.co.uk review of Auto Modellista, which I gave 7 out of 10 in 2003, and said "Roll on Auto Modellista 2". Which hasn't happened... yet.

With the children at the grandparents' for the day we've taken the opportunity to go to Kew as just a couple for the first time in a decade. Which also meant we could climb all the stairs for the view at the top of the Pagoda

They're at it again. This time with another photo of me from Gamescom past, again waggling a controller, this time a PlayStation Move one. Photo from before when things knew which way you were holding the camera.

Won a meet and greet with Envision Racing and got to meet the legendary Sébastien Buemi and reserve driver Zak O'Sullivan 😃 We got to explore the pit lane just after practice and then hang around and chat at the Envision garage. Day already made before we've seen a competitive session #FormulaE

Managed to have some eclipse glasses I'd ordered for the partial one last year. This picture is from just as they arrived... One hour after the eclipse. At least I was well prepared for the big event.

Wikipedia not missing a beat about this small strange period of time where we don't have a Prime Minister. Editors have been getting plenty of experience with this over the past decade.

Somehow managed to order a Steam Controller the minute they went live and now it's here. It's really nice to hold, the buttons are clicky, and the track pads are great like the Steam Deck ones. Happy so far, now let's see how well it lasts.

It’s not really the point of this article but I cannot take anyone seriously if they use “digital” as a noun. aftermath.site/skibidi-toil...
“You take the best of the traditional side of the business, which is windowing and licensing and copyright protections and all the things that Hollywood still does right, but not be as burdened by some of the legacy things that have kind of entered into Hollywood,” Goodman told Aftermath about why he decided to get into the influencer space. “I was really inspired by the nimbleness and accessibility of digital.”

An example of how the Ai integration in a Google search is ruining the results. While I usually skip by the "AI overview", here it has taken my search for a particular Formula E event, matched it with a *different* event, and then given me search results for that, making my search useless.
A Google search results page for "formula e season 9 round 13" gives me results for the Berlin E-Prix via the AI overview. This is actually season 11 round 13.

It started with an "allowance" in an envelope, then the hallway box, on to the parlour (with a real three box puzzle to solve!), the "music room" with my car keys as the major key, an upgrade disk in the boot of my car, a safe, and eventually the key to the garage where my presents were located.
My final inventory included lots of coins, some dice, gems, keys and even the staff keycard
