My harebrained scheme for teaching myself bass is to sequentially figure out the lines to every song from REM's Murmur. I got "Radio Free Europe" a few weeks ago. Tonight I cracked the code to "Pilgrimage." Tricky but not hard, if that makes sense. "Laughing" will be really hard. It's so fast!

Belated birthday present to myself. I had the whole run but they were destroyed by mold years ago. There’s Enid on the cover! I was deeply into all of this. Many stories about feeling alienated and terrified of a nightmare world. And hilariously funny. Never found anything quite like it again.
