The book is finally finished. It comes out 25th April 2026. It’s about historians’ “personal experiences”, how these might relate (critically and analytically) to their histories. It is called _The Politics of Personal Experience: Writing a History of Munchausen Syndromes_
Front cover of a book _The Politics of Personal Experience_. The cover is mainly red with wavy white lines. The main title text is black on a white background.

Such a great paper—rich comparative analysis of “baby farms” in Britain, France, and the USA (late 19th–early 20th c.), showing how labor and care were reconfigured differently despite similar feminist arguments. Can’t wait for the book @emilybaughan.bsky.social! (also check out this wild image)

Front cover of Vanished. Features an Asian elephant, with a turbaned man on top, Native and European figures in the foreground. Behind them is a gigantic fossilised skeleton of a mastodon. All are depicted against a landscape featuring hills and a river in the background, and plant leaves to frame the scene. There is a solitary passenger pigeon in the sky.
