What do people do with open access article licensing in the era of AI? I usually pick CC BY NC ND but this now allows for ‘text and data mining or your works’ which I don’t want. Is this… too bad for me? Or are there alternatives I should choose?

Unexpected consequence of euros is that Lucy Bronze is now my internal comparator. If I think ‘I can’t be bothered to go for a run’ she pops up in my brain to say ‘I played the whole tournament with a fractured tibia’. ‘I can’t be bothered to do that bit of work’.’WHOLE TOURNAMENT. FRACTURED TIBIA.’

Doing a new kind of history where I talk to people. Aiming to learn more about women’s experiences of work in North London since the 1960s. If you are, or know, a woman over 65 from this part of the world, then please get in touch!
A poster explaining an oral history project about women and work in Haringey. It asks for women over 65 who have lived and worked in North London to email butler.project@mansfield.ox.ac.uk. There are images of women’s work from the Haringey archives.

Admittedly this is extremely niche but I really want to write a paper about the disproportionate number of Labour women MPs who have red hair. It’s like it’s a prerequisite or something. Or maybe selection committees saw red hair and thought it would compensate for otherwise inconvenient womanhood.

This is my Joyce Butler 5 point plan: 1) did you know Joyce Butler or her husband Vic Butler? 2) were you involved in Labour politics (Haringey, London, National) before 1980? 3) do you know any community groups who would have an interest in the project or would like a talk?
