My latest acquisition:a broom style Zelkova. Everyone says these are common bonsai trees, but this is the first Zelkova I have seen for sale in South Island nurseries . I am hoping it will be mother to many cuttings.

Cornell expelled students who were protesting genocide in Gaza, but made five of seven guys who gang raped a drugged girl for seven hours write essays. That tells you EVERYTHING you need to know about the morals of that institution.

As always, @nolore.bsky.social has an accurate (and hilarious) description of Mark Carney's continued destruction: noraloreto.substack.com/p/icymi-this...
"He’s gutted environmental legislation, pushed through and fast tracked highly stupid projects that he needs us to believe are in the national interest, and now, he’s welcoming the vultures of global capitalism to come in and buy whatever they’d like. A move ostensibly done to solidify ourselves against the Americans, it will likely attract even more American investment in Canada and he will be laughing all the way to the bank (or wherever he sleeps at night)."
