I don’t think it really matters whether Denmark’s Greenland deal is a brilliant success for Trump and the USA, or simply a slightly tweaked version of the agreement that has been in place since 1951. The only important thing is whether MAGA believes it’s a triumph for Trump.

The details here are pretty bad. Hegesth personally intervened after the military officers in charge refused to block the promotion. The officer was told "President Trump would not want to stand next to a Black female officer at military events" by Hegseth's Chief of Staff.
Mr. Buria chastised the Army secretary for selecting Maj. Gen. Antoinette R. Gant, a combat engineer who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, to take command of the Military District of Washington, said three current and former defense and administration officials familiar with the exchange. The command provides security and performs ceremonial duties in the nation’s capital, and its commander often appears alongside the president at Arlington National Cemetery.

PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP
Ever since Christopher Columbus set foot on the American Continent and discovered the U.S.A. in 1492, the woke mob has been trying to destroy his accomplishments and tarnish his name with fake news. No longer will this be the case. Along with reinstating Columbus Day, President Trump will be placing a 35 foot tall golden statue of Columbus at E Street near the White House.
