So there you have it: Boasberg says the government can either work to "purge its contempt" by affording those individuals sent to El Salvador the due process it denied them. And if they don't, then we're heading towards a special prosecutor for criminal contempt prosecutions.

III. Conclusion For the foregoing reasons, the Court will find probable cause that Defendants’ actions constitute contempt. It will provide them an opportunity to purge such contempt. This frame is a mistake. Democracy is a more efficient system than authoritarianism. They solve problems better than others, have stronger economic and health outcomes growth and fewer financial crises. Authoritarians look decisive because they miss problems and have to do big things to fix them.
