Having had a chance to watch this I gotta echo the folks saying this is a bad ad. But honestly the thing that sticks out to me is the complete lack of theory-of-mind going on. "Well obviously the only reason to oppose us is if you're evil & hate good things" is just disconnected from reality.

When people deliberately de-center Jews in/from the Holocaust, they do. not have "good intentions." Confronting Jewish pain & anger, the scale of what was destroyed, makes gentiles uncomfortable. And instead of simply remaining silent, they try to tell a different story, with fewer Jews in it.

No, I watched it happen. It was an urban legend that grew up about Magnus Hirschfeld's Institut für Sexualwissenschaft in the 2010s. It began with the claim that had it not been for the Nazi book burning on 10 may 1933, "trans studies would have become more advanced" and worked backwards from there

7/9 The smoking gun is inside `D.units` (1,678 5-bit records). "Everyone else" hides 445 accounts listing standard pronouns (he/she/they) with ZERO trans signals. They were blocked at 41.3% vs 24.6% for no-pronoun accounts (OR=2.11x, p=1.5e-8)—matching trans-flag accounts (44.7%, p=0.48)!
