amazing turnout in aberdeen today to say transphobia is NOT welcome in our city and jk rowling and her fascist mates do not speak for scotland. this is what solidarity looks like 🏳️‍⚧️✊

large crowd of people gathered in front of marischal college in aberdeen

large crowd of people gathered in front of marischal college in aberdeen, with many holding trans flags and pride flags. there is also a sign in the foreground which reads: "come ask a real biologist about "biological sex"" and arrows pointing to the person holding the sign

a protester holding a sign painted with vertical stripes in the colours of the trans flag and which reads "vagina. maybe she's born with it, maybe it's none of your business!"

some cardboard signs left on the fence outside marischal college. one on the left reads "jk rowling... just not a very good writer. discuss?" and two smaller ones to the right reading "illegal lesbian??" and another reading "women are not body parts!!!!"

Can't believe the amount of heat we used to get for downloading an mp3 when every tech company is downloading the sum total of human expression to sell a scromited version back to us

Giving this one last push before it disappears into internet obscurity. "It was a very beautifully written article which annoyed me because I couldn't even pretend to be mean about it." - Jim Trinca, Jan 28, 2025 www.eurogamer.net/is-your-chil...

Is your childhood home where most of your favourite gaming memories are found? What a strange feeling it is when it's no longer yours

When your childhood home is sold, the places you used to play games are gone but the memories live on.

In this week's video, we read through Square Enix's annual Letter from Hell. Of course, Square Enix is drooling all over the potential for A.I. to ruin videogames youtu.be/e_y6pVecmDw

You would never do this. Warn your friends to never do this. Never ever. The best ppl warn everybody.

Once again, I DO NOT recommend students go to libgen (dot) rs and download books for their upcoming courses. I am NOT advocating for getting and sharing free pdfs of required texts. DON'T DO IT.

Avoid them as much as possible, the links go:
libgen.is
pk1lib.org
ethos.bl.uk/SearchResults...
sabaq.pk
sci-hub.se
archive.org
lej4learning.com.pk
pdfdrive.com

You also definitely don't want to be installing the unpaywall.org chrome extension. After all, who needs a super handy #openaccess tool that allows you, with a click of a button, to access any closed article?

I also HATE this website archive.org, i do not recommend!! Definitely don't use email generators to "borrow books from there

To clarify...because each email is linked to a set number of books, do NOT use
guerrillamail.com
to generate unlimited emails for unlimited books?

A notable cultural shift over the last 40 years is that DJs used to have names like DJ Funky Paul and now DJs all have names like DJ Adult Circumcision

Seems a bit like rather than providing the resources and time to innovate and create new products Microsoft are intent on just buying up the people who do to eliminate competition.

I like to think about Microsoft in a meeting with Nintendo after acquiring them and they're going "our next controller is these two cups connected by string and some lollipop sticks"
