I guess I’d say you don’t need the writer to engage with the text but if it allows a more holistic and human way in I’m all for that! 120

To me it was blindingly obvious - but I like poetry, I read it and teach it. The example was very Hallmark card - perfect rhyme scheme, cliched imagery, dull.
