Getting diagnosed with ADHD was the best thing I’ve ever done, because it made me realise I had A Thing that I could work with and adapt around, rather than just being Generally A Bit Shit and trying to force myself to Just Do Better. It did the complete opposite of writing me off.

One of the things I love about Lucas is how he shot that movie like a documentary. No (or very few) master shots, because why do you need a master shot if you're shooting a real place everyone already knows? Documentarians don't always GET a master! Which pisses off the stage crew because....

When I had the time for it, pottery was as enjoyable and therapeutic as people always insist it is.
A glazed and baked ‘sardine tin’ I made from clay and painted in yellow. Inside the rolled back lid is a ceramic sardine. Two ceramic ghosts, one looks a bit like a fried egg and you can take its head off.

Netflix mad a whole-ass Grendel series and then shelved it. I think there's still some collections of the comic floating around with a "now a hit Netflix sticker" on them. Wonder if it was any good.

Was there ever a more stark contrast between title sequence and actual show than BBCs ON THE RECORD? Sick stop-motion Big Ben dinosaur hybrid stomps across the UK, roaring to a jazzy George Fenton number. Cut to: a static Dimbleby for 60 minutes.

And I'll also add that assessments for ADHD and Autism are recommended under the NHS before referral to a gender clinic. So a 13 year old trans kid asking for a referral would need to wait two years for an assessment for autism before they can even be referred and assessed for gender dysphoria.

Daily Mirror front page shows grainy image of horde of children in a cemetery, and the headline “Amazing scene as hundreds of children rush cemetery”
