Come to Pinehurst Station opening this Wednesday & tell us what you want to see at Jackson Park! We can absolutely do better than a fenced off golf course that cuts off access to TWO light rail stations. (If you can't make it, you can always take our online survey: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...)

Poster of preferred "Jackson" Park uses that you will be able to add dot stickers to vote on!

Possible uses include picnic area, playground, bball court, vball court, trails, spray park, sports field, dog park, skate park, pool, outdoor stage, public restroom, and blank spaces for you to fill out!

Unlikely animal friendship

A tiny stuffed animal salmon i put next to Cookie the guinea pig

I put the stuffie on top of Cookie. She didnt seem to mind that much but it did fall off when she adjusted herself to be more comfy. Her fiber treat is seen to the left of her. She keeps getting distracted when shes supposed to be taking her medications

The entire city of Seattle and hell, the entire region, could be transformed in the blink of a few years if we even just took a break from overfunding our police. Every single cop we have is 1 less stormwater engineer, 1 less habitat restoration worker, 1 less librarian, 1 less teacher.

SPD budget is ~$600 million per year. Proposed to go up by $68m. SPU’s purchase of the 18-acre Talaris site in Laurelhurst where we have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to restore salmon habitat & build publicly-owned housing was $64m. We can buy 10 Talarises per year with the police budget.

Your regular reminder that the bloated police budget takes money away from habitat restoration, tree planting, new park construction, stormwater mgmt, new bike lanes, transit, libraries, creation of a transformative green youth corps, schools, sidewalks, rental assistance, EDI and on and on forever
