They want to keep all that money for themselves, to hand out to favored cronies who can help them get elected and to steer yet more money and more power back into their hands.

A lot of people have been wondering if Masters of the Universe is going to be up for next year‘s Oscars, and after seeing it this weekend, I think it’ll be JUST on the outside of the critics’ lists. But still a lot of fun and a worthy addition to the MOTU canon.
