The only thing that would replace my Steam Deck LCD is a Steam Deck “2.0” with OLED, better battery, and mildly better performance on larger games. Until then, I’m using the OG every day, I love it so much.

This week’s fresh game dev hell involves creating a save system. I thought it’d be easy - serialize some booleans and objects, write to a file, read them later. Nested objects throw a wrench in it all, bloating my save time or making things too complex. I may need to write 20 custom serializers.
