I’m already taking this to heart when making Fakemon / Critters for my game, just spending time in nature and learning about real animals. I’d like to do it more for mechanics and design too - which is hard to reconcile with this thing being inspired by romhacks and challenge runs

It’s going to help the social part long term. The promise of Bluesky is not Bluesky the app itself. It’s ATProto / Atmosphere. It means your posts aren’t confined to just Bluesky. ANYONE can make their own app to be a better Bluesky but see the same content. This is the first major app like that

Look. I’m not against AI as a coding tool (very anti-AI for anything else though). But Github is blaming their recent outages on an explosion of growth due to AI code, while also selling a sub to their own AI product, while also struggling to make said product profitable.
