DWCon Informed Photo & Video Consent Form
Throughout the International Discworld Convention (DWCon), we would like to capture some of the magic – including photos and video footage of the Convention, the people, and the brilliant things that happen across the long weekend. Images or clips might be shared live during the event (for example, via social media like Bluesky or Instagram) to spread the joy in real time.
How photographs and videos are used
Photos and videos help us showcase the heart and soul of DWCon. They may be used to:
Share what we’ve all been up to.
Promote future Conventions.
Celebrate community, creativity, and truly fabulous costumes.
Thank supporters and attract new ones.
Photos may be taken during panels, workshops, performances, cosplay moments, and more informal happenings as well. These are securely stored and used with care, always in line with what you’ve agreed to in this form.
How your image might be used
Examples of where your photo or video might appear include:
On DWCon’s website, blog, or social media platforms.
In newsletters or wrap-up reports.
Shared with partners or funders to show the magic of the event.
In fan press or local/national media (but only with further consent – see below).
Your rights
You can withdraw consent at any point – during the Convention or later – and we will respect that. Nothing will be used without your consent, and you’ll never be penalised or disadvantaged for opting out.
