Every boy and young man watching AEW’s tribute to Pac saw men openly grieve, love, and support each other. That matters.

Beautiful and heartbreaking. Gonna kiss my wife and my dog and go to bed, and when I wake up tomorrow I’m gonna be thankful that I’m alive, because while I did not know Ben beyond his role as PAC I think that’s what he’d want people to take from the awfulness of his passing. Be good to each other.

The film is written, directed, and co-stars Hitoshi Ozawa, a legendary Yakuza actor who is a villain in Yakuza 0, who got his fellow legends involved. This was his passion project inspired by one of his best friends, a trans woman, and he worked with the community for representative casting.

There's a shit-ton of actual anti-Semitism in the world today, but Netanyahu's fraudulent misuse of the term devalues it dangerously. Hamas is anti-Semitic and murderous. Netanyahu is a cynical, murderous shitheel. Mamdani is an American politician with a perverse impulse to tell blunt truths.

2019 AEW is such a weird time capsule - while I enjoy the company as it is today, 2019-2021 is still their peak era IMO. Just so different and weird. Really wish PAC had gotten the main event run they were clearly gearing him up for.

I just…dunno what the fuck to say. This miserable year just keeps on taking and taking and taking. RIP PAC, Ben Satterley, Neville, whatever name you knew him by. Goddamn this year.

Trying to go see the new Resident Evil movie but apparently before I can enter the auditorium I have to have the spade key to unlock the door? And I only have the hearts key, which unlocks the route to the concession stand. Anyone know where to go next? A bit stuck

This week on The Chainsaw Girls, the always-wonderful Allie and Allysin Kay cover Grave Encounters, which I found pretty enjoyable overall. It’s a pitch-perfect Ghost Hunters spoof that also has some genuinely good scares. #horror #podcast youtu.be/HL6JvL0PCL8?...

Very late to the party due to some personal family stuff going on but #AEW #AllIn was great. I skipped some matches but the ones I did watch were good to very good, and Omega/Ospreay was such a masterpiece it ultimately didn’t matter that the build to it was (IMO) pretty lousy.

A very positive sign that, nearly a year after Kirk's death, many if not most of the people punished for speaking truthfully about him have won legal cases against their former employees and compensation. Again, panicked compliance with Trumpism has only *cost* institutions.

#AEWDynamite was a definite step up from last week. Main event and the aftermath reminded me of AEW’s peak years and made up for the Kenny/Will promo going way too long. Skipped Mox’s match, glad Nigel won. Everything else was just kinda there but nothing was bad. An odd show but overall a good one.

I did not think #AEWDynamite was very good last night BUT I am very intrigued by what’s happening with Swerve. I’m thinking his backup is Kofi and Austin Creed. Would be a wild way for them to debut and a program with Hangman would be a natural lead-in to the inevitable tag match with the Bucks.

#AEW There’s gonna be a lot of revisionism about the Ospreay/Death Riders angle because of how good last night’s segment was. Last night doesn’t make up months of shades of gray, character-derailing nonsense. That said, goddamn that really was an incredible promo.
